The FTC sued the makers of Suboxone®, a prescription drug to treat opioid addiction, alleging they were preventing patients from choosing lower priced generic versions of the drug. The companies agreed to pay $60 million to consumers to settle the FTC charges.

That means if you got a prescription for Suboxone® film in the United States between March 1, 2013 and February 28, 2019, you may be eligible for a payment.Suboxone film

I got a prepaid card for $854 that's for 2 years (24 months times $35.61 or something close to that). I received it yesterday.. the return address is a rewards center so be careful not to mistake it for junk mail.. with the prepaid card there is no cash access ...

Someone I know received their prepaid card yesterday. It's a NO ATM/No Cash Access card so you can't even get the money off of it. Not even through a cash back at a store.

I received a check today (5/14/21) in the amount of $2136.60. So did my husband. We’ve been on it since 2007. Received 60 months compensation at the rate of $35.61. But I have friends who’ve been on it just as long who never received notice they were eligible to file a claim.

I have been on Suboxone treatment for over 13 years I think I'm the only one in the whole world that's been on it this long I took it to get off opiates because I had a really good radio job at the time and didn't want to lose my job because if you don't show up for a position you get it taken from you so I've been on it for 13 years and I feel like it's never going to end so I know I have a lot to do with this and I know I'm going to get a lot of money because I paid a lot of money for my medicine over the years so Suboxone has saved my life from opiates but it's caused another addiction coming off of Suboxone is the hardest thing I've ever had to do it's worse than opiates 10 times over

If you believe you are eligible for a payment from this settlement but did not file a claim, you can call 1-877-545-0238 to be placed on a waiting list. If there are funds available after the first distribution is complete, we will contact you with information about how to receive a payment

$35.61 per month is pathetic. Unfortunately, I had to take this medication. I think the drug itself has helped countless people who have addiction issues. My employers insurance didn't cover this particular medication and I had to pay out of pocket every month. I was prescribed 90 8mg/2mg film per month from Walgreens and it was about $700 monthly including the Suboxone coupon that was offered at the time. I was prescribed generic suboxone 90 8m/2mg and I paid $200monthly. I am not accepting this and contacting a lawyer to see what my options are.

They said that they were sending just part of the settlements and that after they paid all the administrative & court costs they would send everyone refunds out of what was left over.

They've told me because I was on since 2012 I was excluded from the claim as you have to specify you were prescribed during the exact time they specified & no longer. They said I was on for 96 months & not 72 which makes you eligible so I could expect nothing because I didn't reply back to an email they claimed they sent (that I never received) in jan 2021 where I was supposed to adjust my time line for being prescribed. This is insane.. I was on through the entire duration of time specified & I should've been compensated!

The FTC did not have the individual contact information for patients taking Suboxone. To make people aware of the Suboxone settlement claims process, the FTC issued a press release on July 24, 2020, and published a blog post on July 30, 2020. The agency also paid for advertisements online, in print media, and on the radio. In addition, the agency sent notice to prescribing doctors all over the country. If you believe you are eligible for a payment from this settlement but did not file a claim, you can call 1-877-545-0238 to be placed on a waiting list. If there are funds available after the first distribution is complete, we will contact you with information about how to receive a payment.

i have been on this prescription since 2012. Unfortunately due to my addiction I lacked stability. Now I have no clue where my claim would be sent or if I'll even recieve it. I called the number provided was put on hold for 30mins. And then hung up on. My family is struggling more than ever due to the pandemic and I actually have been clean and sober for 3 years now. I intend on contacting my state senator about this if I can't get and help. My daughters birthday is this month and she deserves the best and we really need that help that I am owed and fully qualify for. Thanks for listening to whom ever read this. Hope for feedback soon.

They sent my wife's prepaid card to the wrong address is there any way to get a new one sent to the correct address. Correct mailing address on file it's just we are having issues with the post office they will not for some reason acknowledge her address change so someone could be spending her money. Any suggestions out there?

This should have been more advertise. With the pandemic going on this should have went out to all prescribing doctor's so there patience could have been informed because now I feel like I'm owed money considering I've been on this drug for more than 8 years and I paid cash most of those years

I filled out the claim form as well as my husband. We were on Suboxone most of the qualified time and filled out the claim form well before the deadline. We even pulled our prescription records in case asked. Should we be getting a settlement? I assume so but I'm not sure how this kind of thing works.
