The FTC sued the makers of Suboxone®, a prescription drug to treat opioid addiction, alleging they were preventing patients from choosing lower priced generic versions of the drug. The companies agreed to pay $60 million to consumers to settle the FTC charges.

That means if you got a prescription for Suboxone® film in the United States between March 1, 2013 and February 28, 2019, you may be eligible for a payment.Suboxone film

Not fair at all. Just hearing about this lawsuit. No one mentioned this to me. Not the manufacturer, not the prescribing doctor. Not even the pharmacy that sold it to me. Very very dissapointed and misled to believe that suboxone helps you when in fact it leaves you with a worse issues. And lets not forget to mention that subs rot your teeth over time. This medication reaks of dissapointment. NEVER NOTIFIED THE LAWSUIT EXISTED and now the deadline has come and gone. Any suggestions????

The FTC did not have the individual contact information for patients taking Suboxone. To make people aware of the Suboxone settlement claims process, the FTC issued a press release on July 24, 2020, and published a blog post on July 30, 2020. The agency also paid for advertisements online, in print media, and on the radio. In addition, the agency sent notice to prescribing doctors all over the country. If you believe you are eligible for a payment from this settlement but did not file a claim, you can call 1-877-545-0238 to be placed on a waiting list. If there are funds available after the first distribution is complete, we will contact you with information about how to receive a payment.

Thank you

Almost thought this was a scam when I got the check in the mail today. It's nice to see our government holding companies accountable and doing the right thing for consumers. Thank you, FTC!

Wow I filed the paperwork and totally forgot about it. Today when I got my mail I got something from the "Suboxone Claims Fund". When I opened it I didn't expect much but it said my check was enclosed inside and when I looked at the amount I got almost $3000.00. I have also been on Suboxone for years since it actually first came out. You only receive $35.61 for each month you were on it between March 1, 2013 and February 28, 2019. Glad that this situation was taken seriously and I hope that my comment has given people a little insight to what they could be expecting from their settlement.

I just called and they said they don't have any information for the claim I KNOW I filled out for myself and my husband. After I filled it out I even sent the link to a friend on Suboxone and she received a check today for over $2000. They said they are going to escalate it but that makes me so mad that I filled it out first and she is sitting on over $2000 and I have nothing. I have been on the Suboxone for the entire time in the lawsuit and my husband for most of the time. I really hope that I can fix this.

Hi I'm Ben and I was prescribed pain meds after a crippling accident that left me without a hip, drop foot and a destroyed shoulder that put me in a wheel chair for the rest of my life in 2012. So when I wanted to get off I joined a suboxone clintic and I've paid thousands and thousands for name suboxone probably close to 10 grand over the years and I'm still dealing with the so expensive prices I'm so glad something can be done to help everyone out in my situation because I'm still dealing with the prices I hope someone can help all of us thank you.

We have been on suboxone for 12 years and no one told us this lawsuit was going on, not our dr's prescribing it, no one, this is not fair when we have spent so much of our hard earned money fighting an addiction that was started by overprescribing dr's lobbied by purdue pharma in the first place. PLEASE GET US OUR DESERVED PAYOUT FOR ONCE IN OUR LIVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just received a check today in the mail. Legit didn’t even get the mail until a friend called to inform me they had received theirs! I thought it was a scam at first. It may not be much in terms of what we actually paid, but every little bit helps & I am thankful for the FTC getting us some justice!

I am looking for help with this, I did receive a check this week. It showed that I was only on Suboxone for 12 months and I was in it for 3-4 years during the time that they did not offer generic. I assumed that someone would contact me because I went to 3 different doctors before I found the one I stuck with. So when it asked how many months was I prescribed Suboxone I put 12, thinking that it was asking about how many times I was prescribed Suboxone by my LAST doctor. I need to know who to get in touch with to inform them that I paid full price (with insurance) for 3-4 years during that period. Can someone help me?

I need help from the FTC. I filed a claim through this settlement. I was on suboxone 2012-Current. They are trying to say that because I was on suboxone 96 months & not 72 & that because I didn't specifically state I was on between their time line I was decided ineligible. I have not had luck figuring out who to contact. I was on suboxone during this period, submitted a claim & I should be part of the settlement just like everyone else! I'm very frustrated. Ive been patiently waiting.
