Veterans: We thank you

November 11 is Veterans Day, a time to commemorate former servicemembers and recognize their service to the nation. In the U.S. today, there are more than 20 million veterans. Whether they’ve been out of the service for days or decades, they can benefit from Military Consumer’s tips on managing money, avoiding scams, and making the most of their service-related benefits.

Share these tips with your military and veteran networks. For those vets who’ve recently returned to civilian life, resources about transitioning out of the service can help with using education benefits, finding the right job, and buying a home. For those who’ve been away from the military a bit longer, veteran support tips can help avoid scams, decide whether to start a business, and evaluate potential investments.

To all our veterans, we are grateful for your sacrifices and service.

I am proud to be a veteran. I served during the Vietnam War

Thank you! I'm a Veteran of 20 years of service. I appreciate the information you are putting out.

Thank you very much. I am a Disabled Veteran from the Vietnam era. To many of the latest couple of generations, being a Veteran means little or nothing to them. They do not appreciate what sacrifices were made by Veterans from the Revolutionary War up to the present. I believe all young men (and perhaps women) should give back two years of their lives to the service of our country.

Quite often a Veteran does need guidance just like anyone else. Many veterans who are now lawyers should volunteer to give some time at pro bono to help a returning veteran.

I always like getting your newsletters.I like to keep up with all the scams and things going on.

Greeting's Thank you For Pripering me for- About scams/

I want to give my mom the veteran send off she deserved when my father passed when he was 32 leaving her with 3 young children and no link to Agent Orange he never got the burial or thanks from the military he deserved. She is on her deathbed and I wanted to know how I could make this happen?

The US Department of Veterans Affairs has information online about benefits for veterans' funerals and burials. Go to www.cem.va.gov for information about benefits and other resources.

I CAME TO AMERICA WHEN I WAS VERY YOUNG. AMERICA IS CONSIDER MY HOMELAND EVEN THOUGH I WAS BORN IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. I AM AN U.S. CITIZEN AND VERY PROUD TO BE ONE. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN, I WOULDN'T BE HERE TODAY. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SACRIFICES AND SERVICE. I HAVE 3 U.S. VETERANS IN MY FAMILY AND ALWAYS PROUD OF OUR MILITARY. BE SAFE, STAY STRONG, AND GOD BLESS!
